The Illicit Trade: The Dark Trade
A National Geographic special, Illicit: the Dark Trade was not only about smuggling or fraud; it was about how criminal networks are changing the world. What is so funny is that it is not coming to town, it is living and festering here, right under our noses.

One of the things the film remarked upon was how the criminals of today have no rules to live by or regulations, morals, anything and everything they can use as a weapon to either run, or fight the authorities that plague them. The authorities acting within the body of some sort of higher system have no choice but to act within set rules and regulations. So how to we catch any of them if they get all of the advantage? Only when the criminal is dumb lazy loose tongue or to trusting do we ever get to make the criminal as a convict.

The internet is an amazing place. It has warped a lot of tasks or pleasures we use to take interest in. Many individuals use to have several numbers of pen pals that they would correspond to routinely. This is one of the reasons that postage continues to go up is because people just do not send casual mail by snail mail.

Now you know that the apple is ripe, sweet, and too perfect, so do not be surprised when you find a worm sharing your apple with you. Some people can over look the worm and reach for another apple.

Illicit trading is one of the most stupidest things to do on-line. I repeat to clearly, any and all illicit trading is one of the most stupidest and hair brain scene things to do on the Internet. Who do you think owns the Internet? If you can not answer that question correctly do not go into the illicit trading with out knowing who you are up against and how to protect yourself.

EOC Week Eight

Update On My Progress With The Supreme Court Case
Here is my latest update to you on how far I have come on me Supreme Court Case. I should tell you I have decided to go with something different from my original plan. I checked no one else is doing this case. I wanted something more closer to my major.

I can talk computer talk, but court talk is like taking your way around a mountain, and than up and over it, just to explain how to get through it. I spent three hours looking for a United States Supreme Court Case that went well enough with me major, which is web design. You know, I thought that it was going to be simple.

Just find a complete list of all the United States Supreme Court Cases and the titles and dates. Wiki doesn’t even have a compete list. I mean want is up with that? Just another reason I am in this web business. Wiki is great, but than when you need it the most it fails you. Do not rely on it.
I love researching on the net. Where books come in many different sizes, when you surf the net the pages come in many different colors. I will tell you where I ended on this so called cyber journey. I ended up at http://supreme.justia.com/index.html the US Supreme Court Center. Justia guys is what you should be looking at not Cornell! Yah, it is not decked out like other sites but it is a lot more organized and a lot more up to date. Check it out.

So, what I am doing now and want I have Planned for the immediate future is the following. I have one book ready to pick up at the Centennial Hills Library, and 5 more books that I am on the list of holds, or the books are already in transit. While I am waiting I do have Compton’s Encyclopedia that I am reading.

I would also like to investigate the Art Institute’s Learning Resource Center AKA library. Another thing on my to do list is to visit elibrary that our school offers. Thanks Mr. Pinto for the links in the Doc Sharing, they turned out to be a great access key. I have also scheduled an appointment with a paralegal that I know who has agreed to help me with the structure, and format.

EOC Week Seven

Ownership of Property
Guess what! You do not need the candy bar for “proof of ownership.” Sometimes the transfer of property is quite easy and fun, if you have the money to go shopping. Believe it or not this is how most people get possessions or stuff.

You would think it would be easy understanding what ownership is… What ever I have is mine, right? What ever he owns is his, and therefore not mine. Yet it gets tricky when interaction happens and someone wants to know if “Finders Keepers” can be applied.

This is a fact that if man dies leaving a widow, and a will (testament). And if that man had in his will that wife was a disinheriting party, state laws of descent would nullify the will. In the United States the widow is granted at least a portion of the estate regardless of the will.

What is so whacked out is we are moving more and more into an era when things that really matter are becoming more and more intangible, or intangible property. Money is becoming less and less green backs, and more about the stuff you don’t see when you whip out that plastic. The internet is a great example with pay pal, and others reaching in to your pocket. And yet we wine, and complain, that postage went up again. Hello, E-mail accounts are being operated by a much younger generation. I do not need to give you a sales pitch about the internet, you know what is out there and how amazing it can be to surf the web, yet all of it is intangible.

EOC Week Six

Greed Is Good

This guy make this golden tongue speech and than ruins nearly about everyone who agreed with him. Pawns in his game. It is sad to see people who have absolutely no Integrity. I pity them because the game that they are playing is a single player game. Yah, sure you can buy alliances, but he has made to many enemies not to be looking over his shoulder. You could not trust anyone. Always living in fever for that moment, because you know it will come. You have to succeed at staying alive everyday. They only have to succeed once.

Yah, the Economy is on dial up instead of high speed but I can live through it. There is always going to be some sort of big chaotic event that we have to deal with. I see it in terms of options. Let is consume you. Learn to deal with it. And than there are always people stuck in the middle. Don’t be the middle man.

EOC Week Five

What did this Mr. Frederick want to accomplish with displaying a banner that was not made for or even in the school but was being shown off at a school event? I tell you why. He was in it for the fame the little son of the gun, to bad about the fortune.

One of my big questions is Mr. Frederick has this 14 foot long banner http://www.slate.com/id/2162161/, and he is the only one who fights this battle. What I mean is his buddy’s helped him hold that sign. In a way they were promoting whatever was on the sign http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morse_v._Frederick. Where were they, and why weren’t they not mentioned?

I had to look up what a bong was and want reference it had to marijuana use. Prior to this I just thought that a bong was a sound like you would hear from a gong. I mean when close caption is on, and I am watching something with a gong in it that is what I read at the bottom, bong. So what a bong is in the reference to marijuana is the device to smoke marijuana. For inhalation it is a little different, for the device that is used to inhale it is called a bong hit. EOC Week Three

Very nice, sweet, and to the point. I love your first line of your last paragraph. “Laws are made to give us our freedom to do what is right.” I guess for a while now I have thought that laws restrain or limit us. Thanks for the eye opener.
It was really nice to read something different, that wasn’t tainted with all that is currently wrong with our country. Reading your EOC is somewhat inspirational, to me, to look at things differently; especially with the ways of the laws of the land.


I agree with a lot of what you said. Yet America seems to be at a plateau right now. We have come a long way for freedom, and individual rights, that now we are too excessive with our rights, or we feel that the laws constrain us.
All the areas that you discussed were great, and to see your current frame of mind on this topic. It is so weird because I started out my week 2 EOC with, “Our whole system of justice is corrupt.” Yet you did a much better job at explaining it then I did. Thanks.

EOC Week Two

Our whole system of justice is corrupt. Prime example is the OJ trials. Yah, he is serving time now but not from the OJ trials back in 1990’s. Do you know how much he got out of that? $33.5 million, what kind of a message is that going to send? Was it fair? Was justice severed under the law? When I say justice I mean what we are led to believe as it always being true, just and fair for everyone.

Ever heard of Charlie Crews? I am not talking about the fictional guy off of Life the TV series. I am talking about the real Crews, and yes Life the TV series is based off of his story. Charlie Crews was a former LA police officer who was convicted, and served 12 years in prison for crimes he did not commit. He was exonerated of all charges, and surprising enough went back to work in the police force.

Laws are made to protect us right? Well, in 1976 Washington, D.C. put in to affect one of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation. Since then, Washington, D.C.’s murder rate has risen 134%. Sure real safe if that was there goal by putting in gun laws. Get this Switzerland requires all of it males over the age of 20 to own an assault rifle. A study done by David Kopel of the seven countries, Switzerland is found to be one of the safest countries.

No I do not want to move to Switzerland, and no I do not own a gun that was the point of the previous paragraph. EOC Week One

To the stereotypical individuals of the world, have you ever retained a lawyer or an attorney? If so did they live up to your expectations, as the pricks and sneaks of world? America is not known for its intelligence, but hello people do you even know what the difference between a lawyer and an attorney-at-law is? There is a difference, and wiki does not have the answer, nor does answer.com. If you are going to look this up better do it in a book or ask an attorney. It is not my job to educate you.

Do you want my opinion on lawyers? Well here it is, if you want it or not. Lawyers, and attorneys, are necessary to a point, as an advocate and, or councilor for the common people. Many individuals need legal representation at some point in their lives. I am glad that they charge such a high consultation fee. If they didn’t everyone would want legal representation for suing their next door neighbor for private nuisance, or other such ridiculous things.

How many of you even know what the BAR exam is? And from that few how many know what the acronym BAR stands for? The BAR exam, a nationwide test taken only two times a year, lasting about 7 hours each day. Personally watched a friend study for this exam was agonizing. He studied for weeks and weeks meticulous about learning and his study methods. I admired that he had such a goal and drive that he could study with migraines and back aches.

Yes there are sleaze ball attorneys and lawyers but last time I looked there were sleaze balls in every profession and occupation. Is it because they represent the worst of society that you judge them so harshly? If so America needs a cow prod just to get its heads out of the sand.
